God is good and he has blessed me and my family in many ways. I’ve been blessed to have a rewarding and successful career helping and serving the community here in Arkansas. Now is the time for me and our generation to stand up, take responsibility, and serve the people of Arkansas.
I have a wonderful family. I have an amazing wife of over 10 years and two beautiful daughters. My dad’s dad worked at the Alcoa factory in Bauxite until he retired and my mom’s dad started an electrical company called Middlebrooks Electric in 1946 in Benton that my uncles still run today. Though I didn’t go to school here, my Arkansas roots run deep. My summers were full of fishing on Lake Hamilton and riding three wheelers in clay pits. Camps in Mt. Ida and floating the Buffalo. Arkansas is an amazing state full of amazing people and I love it! It truly is the hidden gem of the south. Beautiful land, abundant resources, great people, everything we need to be one of the most prosperous states in the nation… yet Arkansas consistently ranks 46th, 47th, 48th in the nation… pick a subject. Why? Why do we put road blocks to creation of generational wealth? Why do we support confusing and inefficient processes for taxing and selling land? Why do we incentivize taking peoples inherited land? There is no good answer and it’s time to fix it. It’s time to stop the merry-go-round, the same-old folks doing the same-old thing, and start something new. It’s time to make a change, it’s time to make a difference.
I love my country. I was raised very patriotically. I was raised knowing that America is the land of the free BECAUSE it’s the home of the brave. I was raised hearing about a great shining city on a hill. I believed, and still believe in American exceptionalism. Having traveled to 12 different counties I’ve seen first-hand how amazing America is and why everyone wants to be like America. We’ve created the greatest society in human history that has provided more civil liberties, freedom, and prosperity than any other society in recorded history. We can NOT lose this country, it’s the only thing standing between us and a chaotic, disastrous future. And it’s time to fight for it. My Christian faith tells me to whom much is given much is required. And it also says, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. In that verse from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is asking people to reflect on what they value most in life, and that whatever they treasure will guide their actions. My greatest treasure at this point in my life is my family and my time. We all have a limited amount of time on this earth, and I want to use my time to help Arkansans’! I hope you’ll join me in this historic effort and I hope you’ll VOTE Lance Restum for Land Commissioner in 2026!
